About KRK Consulting

KRK exists so no one navigates this alone.

We are an independent behavioral health consulting and referral organization. We help families find their footing, and we help the organizations that serve them build relationships worth trusting.

Our story

The Story Behind KRK

Behavioral health is one of the few parts of life where the hardest decisions arrive at the worst possible moment, with the least reliable information.

Families are handed a list of names. Organizations doing careful, genuine work struggle to be found by the people who need them.

KRK was built to stand between those two facts — to bring clarity, connection, and plain humanity to both sides of the same conversation.

Clarity creates movement. Connection creates transformation.
Kristi Kettle, founder of KRK Consulting

“People remember how they were treated on the worst day. That is the whole job.”

Meet Kristi

Kristi Kettle built KRK around the thing she has always done best: building relationships that hold up under pressure. She sits comfortably on both sides of this field — with families trying to understand what to do next, and with the organizations working to serve them well.

Her approach is unhurried and direct. She listens first, says what she actually thinks, and treats every conversation as a relationship rather than a transaction.

Our approach

The KRK Approach

  1. 01

    Listen Before Leading

Every conversation starts with the situation as it actually is.

  2. 02

    Relationships Before Transactions

We are building something that lasts longer than one referral.

  3. 03

    Clarity Without Pressure

We explain the landscape plainly, then leave the decision with you.

  4. 04

    The Right Connection Matters

A thoughtful introduction changes more than a long list of options.

Who We Help

Families & Individuals

If you are trying to understand possible next steps for yourself or someone you care about, we help you make sense of the landscape. We are not a treatment provider and we do not diagnose, place, or promise outcomes — we help you think clearly and connect you with the licensed professionals who can.

Organizations & Referral Partners

For behavioral health organizations, KRK is a strategic relationship partner: stronger referral networks, outreach that sounds like a person, and growth built on partnerships that actually hold.

Our guiding principles

Our Guiding Principles

Compassion
We meet people where they are, on the day they arrive.
Integrity
We say the same thing whether or not it is convenient.
Connection
The right introduction is the most useful thing we own.
Advocacy
We stay on the side of the person, not the process.

You don’t need to have it figured out first.

Bring the question as it is. A first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
